"After You" is a collection of material recorded over the past few years with band drummers Mark McFarlan and Jim Macpherson (GBV/The Breeders/Jet Age), as well as including their rare, never before released version of the classic garage rock hit by THE SONICS "The Witch", with the band's original drummer Gregg Spence on drums and vocals. The CD is dedicated to the memory of the band's dearly departed friends who have played off and on with them over the years, including Spence, Ben Schelker (Oxymorons) and Tim Taylor (Brainiac). A wonderful and fitting tribute of great music by a great band to some great people.

Here it is, the long-awaited GUIDED BY VOICES tribute release from Simple Solution Records (CAGE; BRAINIAC; GBV; REAL LULU). Featuring 18 different GBV favorites performed by a variety of acts from across the country, including REAL LULU doing their own unique take on the song "Postal Blowfish" (recorded with Steve Johnson from THE PURE PLASTIC TREE, before the 1996 addition of drummer Jim Macpherson to the band's permanant line-up).
Included amongst the selections are tracks by Sonic Youth's THURSTON MOORE, GEM (featuring GBV's Doug Gillard), NEW RADIANT STORM KING, LOCAL H, SHOVE, PORTASTATIC, LOTION and Dayton's own O-MATIC and SWEARING AT MOTORISTS.
